Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month campaign launched

The Queensland Government has implemented a social marketing campaign to support Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month in May.

The campaign encourages friends, family, colleagues and neighbours to ‘trust their instinct’ if they suspect someone they know is experiencing physical or non-physical abuse within a domestic or family relationship. The clear message is: Don’t let your concern become your regret. Trust your instinct – call DV Connect.

This call to action provides concerned members of the community with contact details for the state wide DVConnect Womensline or Mensline, where they can receive confidential advice about safety strategies and available support, before the abuse escalates or becomes physical or life threatening.

To find out more about the campaign, visit www.qld.gov.au/trustyourinstinct.
