Finally we are getting “No Fuel” signage for tourists in the Hinterland

South Coast District will be installing a ‘no fuel’ sign near Nerang on the Nerang-Murwillumbah Road near the intersection of Latimers Crossing Road in the 2014-15 financial year.

The location of this sign will provide motorists with the opportunity to return to Nerang for fuel if required while they are still not too far west of Nerang.

A ‘no fuel’ sign is being installed on Nerang-Murwillumbah Road because there was previously a service station in the hinterland at Springbrook and now that there is no petrol in Springbrook this will give ample warning to tourists to fuel up before they venture out into the Hinterland.

Thank you to Peter Yaun, Barb Eldred and the Springbrook Mountain Community Association for advocating for these much needed, long overdue “no fuel signs”.
