Flashing School lights installed on Somerset Drive and Milky Way

After years of complaints and multiple accidents, including fatalities we finally have flashing lights at the school zone on Somerset Drive. Cr Glenn Tozer has also approved the installation of fencing on the median strips. Together these measures will ensure our school crossings are safer for our students attending Somerset College and Clover Hill State School.

Flashing lights have also been installed at Mudgeeraba State School on Milky Way.

I have submitted requests for the next round of funding for flashing lights which include:

Rainbow Drive for Mudgeeraba State School;

School Street for Mudgeeraba Special School;

Goldcoast-Springbrook Road for Mudgeeraba Creek State School;

Gooding Drive for Merrimac State School;

Springbrook Road for Springbrook State School;

and Nerang-Murwullimbah Road for Numinbah Valley State School.
