The Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Commercial and Property Law Research Centre, on behalf of the Queensland Government, has examined body corporate lot entitlement issues as part of a broad property law review.

QUT has recommended a new system for dividing body corporate costs between lot owners—for example, home unit owners—and to discontinue the use of contribution schedule lot entitlements.

Before making any decisions about possible changes to the current laws for apportioning costs in community titles schemes, the Queensland Government would like to hear your views about QUT’s findings and recommendations.
