Lazy Labor cutting ribbons doesn’t solve anything

Lazy Labor cutting ribbons doesn’t solve anything

Wednesday, 31 January 2018

Labor has lazily shown up at the Carrara roundabout this morning to cut the ribbon on an LNP-funded project.

Member for Mudgeeraba, Ros Bates MP said Labor had delayed the project for three years.

“This is the latest example of the LNP putting in the hard yards and lazy Labor cutting the ribbon,” said Ms Bates.

“This project was fully funded by the LNP in 2015 after I spent nine years fighting Labor for it and it’s taken Labor three years to get on and build it.

“I don’t remember Mark Bailey being there to announce this funding with us back in January 2015 – that’s because Labor was sitting on the Opposition benches and the Minister hadn’t been elected.

“Maybe instead of cutting ribbons and taking credit, Labor should get off their backsides and build the second M1 and release the Games public transport schedule.

“Queenslanders will have their tickets but won’t know how they’re going to get to the Games.

“Gold Coasters sit in traffic day in, day out under Labor and Mark Bailey making hollow announcements isn’t going to help anyone.”
