Three weeks since the State Government began a home quarantine trial for returning Queenslanders there’s still uncertainty about the expansion of the program.

Opposition Leader David Crisafulli said the state government needed to release the data of the trial and use home quarantine as an effective way to get Queenslanders home.

“If this trial has been deemed successful it must be rolled out across the state,” Mr Crisafulli said.

“Queenslanders are crying out to get home.

“We’ve heard of families living in their cars waiting to cross the border, simply to get home.

“It’s possible to bring these Queenslanders home safely and with compassion.

“Queenslanders are watching people from London and the USA return home and be reunited with their families in New South Wales and Victoria.

“Home quarantine was introduced during the Indooroopilly cluster earlier this year and the results were successful.

“We’ve had enough of the goal posts constantly moving week in, week out.

“The state government must lift vaccination rates, instil confidence and start motivating, not dictating.”
