Palaszczuk needs to guarantee no taxpayers money was spent on Myriad Air

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk needs to urgently guarantee Queenslanders that no tax-payers money was spent to fly US multimillionaires to Queensland on Myriad Air.
LNP MP Ros Bates said Tourism Minister Kate Jones was sparing with the truth today when asked why Queenslanders had footed the bill for a US multimillionaire facing alleged sexual harassment complaints to fly to Queensland.
“It’s clear Kate Jones couldn’t get her story straight when asked a direct question in State Parliament today about the cost of Myriad Air,” Ms Bates said.
“All of Labor’s written spin on Myriad says the Queensland Government chartered a Boeing-747 to fly US millionaires to Queensland, but now they’re trying to change their story. *
“It’s bad enough Queenslanders are being slugged for US millionaires to take a holiday in Queensland, but now it’s been revealed one of the ‘guests’ is facing multiple alleged claims of sexual harassment back in the States.” **
Question from Mudgeeraba MP Ros Bates to Labor Tourism Minister Kate Jones:
“I refer to media reports that one of the people flown out for the Myriad Festival at the expense of Queensland taxpayers is facing a number of sexual harassment complaints…. is it appropriate that Queensland tax payers have paid for a multimillionaire facing a number of sexual harassment complaints to fly on a special charter plane from the US to Queensland?”
“Sexual harassment is completely unacceptable,” Ms Bates said.
“While this person is entitled to come to Myriad, it’s a terrible look for Annastacia Palaszczuk to be using tax-payers money to fund his trip – this is a disgrace.”
