MEDIA STATEMENT: Mudgeeraba Celebrates Investment in Community Groups
Member for Mudgeeraba, Hon. Ros Bates MP, has announced the latest community groups to benefit from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF), with local organisations to share in $124,350.00 worth of grants.
The latest round (Round 123) delivers a welcome boost to groups across Mudgeeraba, with funding helping to upgrade local facilities and provide essential services.
Hon. Ros Bates said the grants would benefit community groups that have faced challenges when budgets have been stretched by cost-of-living increases.
“Every dollar invested by the Crisafulli Government through the GCBF goes directly to the heart of our communities, and I’m proud to be able to support Mudgeeraba organisations with this vital funding,” Ms. Bates said.
Mt Nimmel Community Hall Incorporated will receive $19,350.00 to install an access ramp to their facility, and Mudgeeraba Special School Parents and Citizens Association will receive $35,000.00 to upgrade their playground and extend their assembly area.
“The next round is closing soon and it’s a Super Round, so if you’re part of a local organisation in need of a major funding boost for facility improvements or substantial equipment purchases, make sure you get your application in before 18 July.”
Local community groups receiving funding this round include:
- Filipino Australian Creative Arts Ensemble Inc.
- Mt Nimmel Community Hall Incorporated
- Mudgeeraba & Springbrook School of Arts Memorial Hall
- Mudgeeraba Special School Parents and Citizens Association
Applications for the next Super Round of the GCBF, offering grants of up to $100,000, are now open and close 18 July 2025.
