The LNP has committed $240,000, to install flashing school zone lights at various schools located in Mudgeeraba, Merrimac and Reedy Creek.
The LNP plan to install flashing signs at four school locations;
- Mudgeeraba Creek State School on Gold Coast Springbrook Road in Mudgeeraba,
- Star of the Sea Catholic Primary School on Ghilgai Road in Merrimac
- King’s Christian College on Eden View Drive in Reedy Creek and
- Merrimac State School on Gooding Drive in Merrimac if elected next month.
The increase in traffic and school populations has created a dangerous situation for these busy schools.
LNP candidate for Mudgeeraba, Ros Bates MP said the $240,000 would ensure every taxpayer dollar is invested to deliver the maximum benefit.
“The LNP will restore respect for your money, delivering projects on time and on budget, with the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future, Ms. Bates said.
“This Installation of flashing school zone lights will help to alert drivers to the presence of school children during critical times.
“We need these signs installed as soon as possible and I will keep fighting for them to be put in. Ms. Bates added.
Ms Bates said Queenslanders could vote for installing flashing school zone lights and a government focused on the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future, by voting LNP at this election.
“Queenslanders must show Labor the door in 2024, to restore respect for their money,” Ms. Bates said.
