Queensland’s Chief Health Office has declared all of NSW and ACT as COVID-19 hotspots. Borders will close from 1am Saturday, August 8.
All visitors will be denied entry with few exemptions. Returning Queenslanders will have to pay for 14 days mandatory quarantine in a hotel.
Residents of border communities and essential workers will still be able to cross.
Queenslanders must be kept safe to protect lives and livelihoods.
The LNP has always said the border controls are not set and forget.
As the situation in other states changes so should our response in Queensland.

The gaps in enforcement have put Queenslanders’ lives and livelihoods at risk.
