IN THE middle of Queensland’s Health Crisis, Queenslanders deserve accountability and leadership, not the same clowns from the same circus.

Shannon Fentiman is a failed Child Safety Minister, an incompetent Attorney-General and is now the fourth Palaszczuk Labor Government Health Minister in eight years.

Under her watch, the judiciary continues to be shackled by ineffective, weak crime laws that are seeing young criminals walk free, with no consequences.

Her incompetence has stood in the way of domestic violence safety reform, including failing to appoint an Implementation Supervisor to oversee the Women’s Safety and Justice Taskforce recommendations.

She’s done nothing while victims of rape and abuse are prevented from seeking justice due to the DNA Lab debacle, why does the Premier think she’s capable of fixing the forensics lab failures as Health Minister?

Shannon Fentiman’s shocking record as a Minister also includes:

• Admitting to “washing” Child Safety data to hide the truth from Queenslanders.
• Attending a music festival in Byron Bay instead of responding to the tragic Child Safety failings that led to the death of Mason Jett Lee.
• On her watch, foster carers were indecently assaulting children in their care.
• On her watch 11 vulnerable children died.
• Failing to deliver key domestic violence recommendations by Commission of Inquiry six-month deadline.
• Employing a staff member who had been convicted of child pornography, while Child Safety Minister.
• Running a protection racket for Jackie Trad, using taxpayer funds to block Queenslanders from seeing the truth about her interference in the recruitment of a senior Treasury officer.
• Failing to rollout the Women’s Safety and Justice Taskforce recommendations, only being forced into action by a Commission of Inquiry.

Shannon Fentiman couldn’t chart a way out of the youth crime crisis and has stood by as 10,000 cases are backlogged in the DNA debacle, now we’re expected to believe she can heal the Queensland Health Crisis?

This is a Government in a state of full-blown chaos and crisis.

Queenslanders see right through this desperate attempt to rebrand the chaotic Palaszczuk Labor Government.

This proves once again that Premier Palaszczuk cares more about how things look than how things are.

In the eight years and four Health Ministers of the Palaszczuk Labor Government, Queensland’s Health Crisis has deepened.

Ramping has gone from 15% to 41%. Elective surgery waitlists have doubled.

Queenslanders are crying out for solutions to heal the Queensland Health Crisis, not another clown with a woeful track record.

This is the same circus with the same clowns. Nothing has changed.
