IN THE middle of the Queensland Health Crisis, yet another Director-General has left a critical position within the Palaszczuk Labor Government.
This is not first time a senior member of Government has abandoned ship.
In October last year, Mr Drummond was hand-picked by Premier Palaszczuk to permanently take on the role of Director-General of Queensland Health.
This morning, Health Minister Shannon Fentiman said she had full confidence in her Director-General.
Today, Mr Drummond has left his post.
He was in the position for less than one year.
The chaos and crisis of the Palaszczuk Labor Government is making the Queensland Health Crisis worse and Queenslanders are paying a very high price for it.
The Palaszczuk Labor Government should be focused on healing the Queensland Health Crisis including addressing issues like:
• the worst ambulance ramping in the nation;
• rebuilding the DNA Lab;
• the Queensland Maternity Crisis;
• addressing ongoing scandals in Queensland hospitals like Mackay, Cairns, Townsville and Caboolture;
• ballooning Emergency Department wait-times;
• surging wait-lists to see a specialist;
• clearing elective surgeries wait-lists to ensure tens of thousands of Queenslanders can get the life-changing surgeries they deserve;
• and acting on the critical situation unfolding in the Cape and Torres Strait.
Instead, all Queenslanders are getting is chaos and crisis under the Palaszczuk Labor Government.
At a time Queenslanders are demanding calm and stable leadership, the Palaszczuk Labor Government is falling apart. The ship is sinking.
