THE LNP, including Rockhampton Candidate Donna Kirkland, have tirelessly advocated for a PET CT Scanner for Rockhampton.

Rockhampton patients should not be forced to travel hours to Mackay or Bundaberg for life-saving health scans.

Rockhampton has been taken for granted by Labor and left without the health services it deserves.

This should not have needed Donna Kirkland and the LNP to hold Labor accountable for their failure to finally act.

Just weeks ago, Shannon Fentiman said a PET CT Scanner was not on the cards and couldn’t be delivered before major upgrades to Rockhampton hospital.

Today, she has backtracked.

Queenslanders will wonder what has possibly changed in a matter of weeks?

It’s more Labor chaos and crisis from a Government with the wrong priorities.

Critical health equipment should not be another political pawn for a Labor Government desperate to win an election.

In the shadow of the State Election, it’s clear Labor will say and do anything to win.

The question being asked today is will this be another Labor announcement that’s never delivered?

Only Donna Kirkland and the LNP have the right priorities for Rockhampton’s future, including easier access to health services.
