Queenslanders died and it could have been avoided
The LNP fought hard to secure this critical investigation into Labor’s failing health services across the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service.
The fact Queenslanders have died and that could have been avoided is unforgivable.
This is the inquiry the Labor Party desperately did not want to have and now we have learned why.
This report has exposed Labor’s extraordinary failings across critical health services and Queenslanders have paid for these failings with their lives.
Queenslanders will be shocked to learn this level of failure in healthcare could happen in a modern Queensland.
This report lifts the lid on what healthcare is really like under the chaos and crisis of the Labor Party.
Labor must explain why despite millions and millions of dollars’ worth of investment being poured into the system, there has been no real improvement in health outcomes over such a long period of time.
Concerningly, there has been no significant improvements in prevention and management of chronic disease, the rate of kidney disease and cancer is continuing to rise, while access to oral care has deteriorated.
Alarmingly the investigation found that a lack of information and resource sharing, along with poor data collection, are posing significant risks to patient care.
Queenslanders deserve a world class health system no matter where they live. This report clearly shows that under Labor, this isn’t happening.
Labor must explain how they have failed Queenslanders so badly.
Only the LNP has the Right Plan for Queensland’s Future, including easier access to health services.
