THE Health Crisis is affecting Queenslanders in every region, every day.

The Queensland Health Crisis is more than just ambulance ramping.

New Data shows the extraordinary and dangerous blowout in the number of Queenslanders waiting too long to see a specialist for critical treatment.

The Queensland Health Crisis is real and Queenslanders are now dying waiting to see a specialist.

272,328 Queenslanders are now languishing on the state’s Specialist Outpatient Waiting List.

This is up from 267,242 Queenslanders last quarter.

Shockingly, 59% of Queenslanders who need to see a Gastroenterologist now wait too long.

It’s a similar story with Queenslanders who need to see critical specialists including eye doctors, kidney specialists and cardiologists.

Bowel cancer is the most easily detected and treatable cancer only if patients can get to a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy.

For nearly eight years the State Government has destroyed the health system.

Our emergency departments are packed, waiting lists are getting longer, the waitlist-for-the-waitlist has reached alarming levels, bed block is back, ambulance bypass has returned and Queenslanders are dying waiting for an ambulance or a hospital bed.

The Health Minister said these issues aren’t happening and accused the Opposition and patients of “making up stories” and scaremongering.

All Queenslanders deserve a world class health system no matter where they live.

The LNP has had solutions on the table for months including more beds, improving triaging, real time data monitoring and giving power back to local doctors and nurses.

Our dedicated frontline hospital staff are working themselves to exhaustion.

After three terms in office, the State Government has given up on listening to Queenslanders.

Queenslanders deserve better.

Currently 272,328 Queenslanders are on the Specialist Outpatient Appointment Waiting List (the waiting list for the waiting list).

This is an increase from 267,242 Queenslanders last quarter.
