Queensland Health is so sick that ambulance ramping is worse in Queensland than in the southern states.

Shadow Minister for Health Ros Bates said the State Government was losing control of health.

“Victoria is the most locked-down state in the world, yet Queensland’s ramping rate is far worse,” she said.

“How can this be?

“What has the State Government been doing for the past 18 months to prepare Queensland hospitals for a major COVID 19 outbreak?”

Ms Bates said the LNP has put solutions on the table including more beds, improved triaging, empowering local hospital boards and introducing real time data monitoring for our emergency departments.

“Embattled Health Minister Yvette D’Ath has no credibility and no plan,” she said.

“Our hard working doctors and nurses are exhausted.

“As a nurse and former hospital administrator, I know how stressful it is for our frontline staff who are over worked and under-resourced.

“Patient care must be the top priority and all Queenslanders deserve a world class health system no matter where they live.”
