SHOCKING NEW DATA EXPOSES THE QUEENSLAND HEALTH CRISIS IS GETTING WORSE AGAIN

  • Ambulance ramping: 45.5% for the quarter – worst on record (46.9% in February alone – worst month ever recorded)
  • Elective surgery waitlist: 60,038 Queenslanders waiting for surgery (21% not seen on-time, up from 19% last quarter)
  • ED performance: 28% of patient not seen on-time (up from 26% last quarter)

Shocking new health data has exposed Health Minister Shannon Fentiman and the Palaszczuk-Miles Labor Government are utterly incapable of healing the Queensland Health Crisis.

On the critical metric of ambulance ramping, Queensland has soared to the worst figure ever recorded – 45.5%.

Queensland already has the worst ambulance ramping in the nation, compared to other states.

The new figures also show more patients aren’t being seen on time in Emergency Departments or receiving their life-changing surgeries on time.

The LNP has slammed the Labor Government for trying to hide trend data and making up metrics to hide their own chaos and crisis.

Shadow Health Minister Ros Bates said Labor’s Shannon Fentiman is officially the worst Health Minister in Queensland History.

“This State Labor Government have spent record amounts, only to break the worst kinds of records,” Ms Bates said.

“Shannon Fentiman said getting ambulance ramping down was her number one priority when she become Health Minister.

“She’s failed and she’s failing Queenslanders. On her watch it’s become the worst it’s ever been.

“Shannon Fentiman has promised the world and failed. She was only ever interested in one job, being Premier, and just imagine if the unions had let her have it.

“For ambulance ramping to reach 46.9% in February alone, the worst monthly figure ever recorded, shows this is a Labor Government in chaos and crisis.

“Queenslanders’ stories about our deteriorating health system are real and it’s not the fault of my hardworking colleagues, the doctors, nurses and paramedics.

“This is the result of a decade of Queensland Labor and four failed Health Ministers,” Ms Bates said.

“If the Palaszczuk-Miles Labor Government haven’t been expecting more presentations with a growing and ageing population, they have simply failed to plan.

“It’s a priority for the LNP to deliver easier access to health services and heal the Queensland Health Crisis, because it’s a priority for Queenslanders.

“If elected, a Crisafulli LNP Government will drive-down ambulance ramping and within 100 days of the election we will release real-time data from our hospitals.

“Queenslanders deserve better and nothing will change unless government changes in October.”
