This alert applies to the following parks:
Due to COVID-19 risk and the social distancing requirements, certain visitor facilities within Springbrook National Park are closed until further notice. This is a necessary precaution to safeguard the health and safety of the community.
Closed due to high risk:
- All barbecues in Springbrook National Park,
- Gwongorella picnic area, carpark and toilets,
- Purling Brook Falls circuit,
- Warringa Pool walking track,
- Springbrook Information Centre (Gauriemabah—place of stories), boardwalk and toilets,
- Natural Bridge circuit, cave and toilets,
- Gold Coast Hinterland Great Walk from Apple Tree Park to The Settlement, and
- Tallanbana trailhead and Twin Falls and Warrie circuits will be closed from 10 April 2020
We ask that people do not attempt to visit any of the areas that are closed, unless authorised, for their and their community’s safety and protection. Compliance with the closures will be monitored.
