There is an energised crime squad in town.

A new initiative has begun in the southern end of the Gold Coast involving our local stations.

This new Crime Squad, called Operation North Aloft is headed by the Robina Station’s Sergeant Christopher Smith. Sergeant Smith has recruited five members from Robina, Palm Beach, Coolangatta and Mudgeeraba stations in an effort to combat crime and outstanding suspect files in the area.

Since the deployment of the squad, Operation North Aloft in early May 2015, they have been working on over 200 files and are actively patrolling the area targeting major crime hot spots in these divisions including, drugs, property crime and traffic offences.

These are fuelled by active crime stoppers files, recent property crime offences and traffic crash hot spots.

These officers are dedicated to enforcing the law and cleaning up the southern end of the Gold Coast, by ustilising Crime Stoppers and recent intelligence as well as acting on proactive measures, to ensure crime is minimised in the area.
