A HEALTH Crisis Town Hall will be held in Ipswich as the city records its worst level of ambulance ramping.
55 per cent of patients at Ipswich Hospital are being left on stretchers, corridors and hallways for longer than 30 minutes.
Now local patients, doctors, nurses and health professionals will get their chance to speak out.
Leader of the Opposition David Crisafulli will bring the hugely successful forum to Ipswich after being inundated with messages from concerned residents.
“Over the past month, I’ve been sent numerous images of dozens of ambulances backed up at Ipswich Hospital.
“Now local patients and health professionals will get their chance to speak out.”
“The city’s hardworking paramedics are fed up and patients aren’t getting the care they deserve.

LEFT WAITING: Photo sent by an emergency services person shows the long line up of ambulances left ramping.
“Our Health Crisis Town Hall forum will give them the chance to come forward and share their experiences.
“The LNP has put solutions on the table including real time data monitoring for patients and GP’s, empowering local doctors and nurses to make more decisions, improving triaging and invest in more beds.”
“I’m looking forward to listening to the people of Ipswich.”
Shadow Minister for Health Ros Bates said Queensland’s hardworking health staff need more support.
“As a registered nurse and former hospital administrator, I know how stressful it can be for our frontline staff,” Ms Bates said.
“These dedicated men and women are the ones keeping the health system on track and we can’t thank them enough.
“I urge Ipswich locals, families and whistle-blowers to join us at the Town Hall and share their stories and solutions about local health services.
“Speaking up can force change.
“Together we can heal the Queensland Health Crisis.”
The Queensland Health Crisis Town Halls have been hosted by the LNP and held in regions including Cairns, Mt Isa, Mackay, Rockhampton, Biloela, Hervey Bay, Sunshine Coast, Caboolture, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast.
