The Government must release the Griffin Report in full

It’s time for the State Government to stop the cover-up and tell Queenslanders how they will ensure our frontline health workers are vaccinated in our hospitals.

It’s been two months since an investigation was launched into how an unvaccinated hospital worker was able to work near a COVID-19 ward.

The positive case plunged millions of Queenslanders into lockdown across the south-east and the far north.

Today the Health Minister said there was “a very small transmission in our hospitals” and that only “one person” was affected.

That hospital breach and subsequent lockdown cost Queensland $400 million.

It’s not good enough for the Health Minister to deflect and suggest Queenslanders should accept this failure.

And it’s not good enough for the Premier to suggest we should look to NSW and the problems at its hospitals.

There was a serious breach at one of our biggest hospitals and Queenslanders deserve to know how it happened and what they’re going to do to fix it. This is why Queenslanders need to see the Griffin Report.

Don’t give us some washed down view that goes through Cabinet.

We want to see it in full and we want to see it immediately.

That’s what was promised and that’s what Queenslanders are owed.

The Government must release the Griffin Report in full immediately.
