The Queensland Government has committed $1.5 million to fund another round of the LNP’s hugely successful Get Out, Get Active sporting activity funding program.
Following the success of round one of the program under the former LNP Government, $1.5 million has been committed to the program over the next three years to encourage women and girls to foster lifelong participation skills.
Member for Mudgeeraba, Ros Bates MP said the City of Gold Coast can apply for up to $20,000 under round two of Get Out, Get Active.
“The Mudgeeraba electorate has some fantastic women in a wide range of local sporting clubs, and I encourage the City of Gold Coast to apply in the next round of the LNP’s hugely successful Get Out, Get Active program,” said Ms Bates.
“Under the former LNP Government, this program saw great local projects funded and more women given the opportunity to get involved in sport, and I am delighted this LNP program will continue for another three years.”
Funding applications for round two of Get Out, Get Active opened today, 8 July 2015.
