The Premier’s plan to secure 50:50 funding in last night’s federal Budget has failed.

The Premier repeatedly told Queenslanders that voting for Labor would secure 50:50 health funding and help fix the Queensland Health Crisis.

Annastacia Palaszczuk has failed to deliver.

SHADOW Treasurer David Janetzki said the Premier had been caught out promising false hope.

“Time and time again we’ve heard the Premier say she has an excellent working relationship with the Prime Minister and that things will be different under a federal Labor Government,” he said.

“Well, she hasn’t delivered for Queensland.

“Queensland has not received our fair share in health funding when Annastacia Palaszczuk promised we would.

“The Premier needs to explain why she said one thing before the election but has failed to deliver.”

Shadow Health Minister Ros Bates said the Premier hadn’t offered any solution other than 50:50 federal funding to heal the Queensland Health Crisis.

“This was always going to be an empty promise from the Premier,” she said.

“She’s failed to deliver, and now Queenslanders will pay the price with record ambulance ramping, blow outs in surgical waiting lists and emergency department wait times.

“The only way this will change is to change the government.

“Queenslanders deserve so much better.”
