Reedy Creek – take a bow.
We have once again stared down the Reedy Creek Quarry application and shown just how formidable we are as a community.
I want to thank all of the residents who took the time to engage with the proposed ‘call in’ and added their voice to this fight.
Over recent weeks, my office has seen an extraordinary level of interest and feedback from local residents. Your advocacy and willingness to participate have ensured community perspectives are clearly represented throughout this process.
The strong level of engagement and the quality of submissions received will help inform the next steps in this process.
Public submissions have now closed, and I can honestly say I’ve never seen a response like this.
Thousands of residents have made a considerable effort to stay informed, ask thoughtful questions, and most importantly, have their say.
I will continue to keep you updated as further information becomes available. At this stage, there is no indication as to when a decision will be made; however, we can all rest assured our opinion will be heard loud and clear.
Once again, thank you for your engagement, your time, and your continued commitment to our local community.
If you have any questions or require further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact my office.
Thank you for standing with us in this fight.
Yours sincerely,

Ros Bates MP
